Lucy Demery is Global Head of Fintech Banking at Standard Chartered, where she leads global coverage of financial and strategic clients in the fintech ecosystem. In this role, she manages key fintech relationships and sets the origination strategy for client acquisition, strategic transactions and segment growth. Lucy also works with SC Ventures, Strategy and Corporate Development on fintech partnerships between Standard Chartered and its clients.

Lucy is a member of the UK Government’s Africa Fintech Investment Group, a judge for Pitch@Palace and a featured speaker at Money20/20 in Europe and China. Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2015, Lucy was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and an M&A lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. She has also worked in development finance in Southeast Asia. Lucy grew up in Hong Kong, graduated with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics and received her Juris Doctorate from Columbia University, where she was a Kent Scholar.
